Course Description: This 3-hour virtual workshop will provide first responders and/or their family members the information necessary to recognize the signs and symptoms of job-related stress, especially as it relates to suicide, and also provide them with strategies that will enable them to provide immediate support for individuals who may be considering suicide. With the additional activities included, this course is approved for 4 hours of training credit by the Michigan Commission on Law Enforcement Standards.
Finally, we have several other short (60- or 90-minute) courses available for a very low cost that are also approved by the Michigan Commission on Law Enforcement Standards, 2 of which are also approved for continuing education credits for social workers, counselors, and marriage and family therapists:
